Home Health Care South Florida – Feingold Home Health Care
It’s difficult to think of anything good to come from the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020 but we have seen many families brought closer together by the stay-at-hole guidelines people have been following. Children were home from school and moms and dads were working from home so families had no choice but to spend more time together and that was a good thing for many.
Families with senior members in the household had to be particularly careful about exposing the home to anyone who might be sick, and everyone had to strictly follow hand-washing and social distancing because older people are at a greater risk for getting seriously ill if the virus strikes them. The positive to come out of these situations was that many families were able to take care of the daily chores that many seniors need help with.
Now, large numbers of people will be going back to work and in the fall kids will be going back to school so some families will have to figure out how to get help for elderly folks who need help. The Covid-19 virus crisis is far from over, so extra precautions are still necessary. Some of the common things seniors need help with include:
Bathing and dressing
Grooming
Housekeeping – Sanitizing
Errands and Doctor Appointments
Monitoring vital signs
Meal assistance
Managing medication on a weekly basis
Caring for wounds
Providing catheter support
Administering IV therapy and injections
Dementia support
Incontinence care
