Question: How many hours a week will I need to have a caregiver?
Answer: Feingold Nursing referred caregivers can provide service for as few as 4 hours a day with no minimum number of days or around the clock 24/7. We also refer “live-ins” Feingold Nursing will work to refer the best aide(s) to fit your particular needs!!
Question: Do you accept insurance?
Answer: We accept Assignments of Benefits and will bill most Long Term Care insurances directly on your behalf. We will also help you to understand your benefits as each Long Term Care Policy is different and may have requirements that must be met before they approve and pay for care. Although we accept Assignments of Benefits, the client remains ultimately responsible for the payment of our invoices in the event your carrier does not pay the entire bill.
Question: How are the caregivers screened?
Answer: Our pool of referred caregivers are comprised of a diverse group of well trained, experienced, licensed (as appropriate) and insured caregivers, all of whom speak English. All referred caregivers are screened according to Florida state law and the Agency for Healthcare Administration. We comply with the August 2010 Florida State Law (Florida Statute (F.S.), Chapter 435 and s. 408.809) requiring caregivers to submit to a Level 2 FBI background screening.
What is the difference between a registry and an agency?
Both the registry and the agency provide the same services. The registry option, however, is generally less costly as the referred aides are independent contractors and pay their own taxes. The agency option is generally more costly because the agency’s aides are employees and the agency must pay payroll taxes, social security taxes, medicare and state taxes for its aides.
Question: What type of care do the caregivers provide?
Depending on the needs of our clients, we refer many different kinds of caregivers from Skilled Registered Nurses to Companions.
Are you owned by a big corporation?
No, we are family owned by Paul and Dayle Feingold. Paul works with clients and their families and runs the “day to day” operations of the registry. Dayle also works with clients and their families plus she recruits,interviews, conducts background checks and screens potential RNs, CNA/HHAs, and Companions that we might refer.
